Boston

Just arrived in Boston. Thought Charlotte was cold but this is bitter cold. 17 degrees with a strong wind blowing.No snow but just cold. Couldn't feel my ears two minutes into my walk. Forgot to pack a scarf, gloves or hat. Tried to go out to take some shots but it is just too friggin' cold. Here's the only shot of Boston I'll take, the hotel lobby. Staying at the Onmi Parker House, beautiful old hotel. Lots of wood, gilt and crystal chandeliers.

"Conched" out

Spent this morning before I left Nassau, kicking around the down town. This fish stand had me mesmerized, not sure if it was the colors of the building or that the guy on the sign had gold teeth. Had conch salad and fritters for lunch with some pepper sauce. Yum!

Bahamas

Just got back from the Bahamas. Spent the day at the Atlantis Jamba with John. Such a nice operation. Clean and organized and fantastic team members. Went to the fish Fry in downtown Nassau for conch salad and grouper. Beautiful weather, 74 degrees and clear skies. Steeling myself for the next week and half as I don't think I'll see 70 degrees again until I go back home.

Almost ready to open the new store at Florida Gulf Coast University. The trainers finished up yesterday and we are tenatively set to open on Monday after final Health and Fire Inspections. Had to drive one of the trainers back to Fort Lauderdale this morning. Took my camera and spent the day taking random shots along the way. Here's some I liked:

Noticed these signs this morning. Posted every five cars in my hotel parking lot in Fort Meyers. I am now sprinting from car to hotel. One wonders what happen that the hotel had to post these? The hotel is filled with rude French Canadians right now. Perhaps a dog disappeared during an early morning walk, hmmm.........
Doing the East coast transition with John right now, three weeks, ten cities! Hopefully my little house in the hills doesn't float away while I'm gone.

March towards fitness

Ahhhh....2010 has arrived and with it my personal vow to get fit and lose all unnecessary baggage and unhealthy relationships. I know I've said it before but this time I really mean it. So farewell fattening food, tequila and anything that costs me, whether it is financial, physical or emotional.

Spent the weekend in Calistoga and had a chance to reflect and take some great shots. Hopefully this will be a better year than this last one. Love the color of the flowers with the vines.
